Kindle can’t see issues it causes the blind. a Kindle review

Courteously can't see the issues blind people have using it.

By Robert Kingett.

My name is Robert Kingett, and before I review the kindle I want to talk a no about myself. I am a senior at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. I am visually impaired and have been that way ever since I was born on 1989. My eye condition is retinopathy, which leaves me with Channel Tunnel vision, and unable to see low contrast screens and or objects. I'm actually a very precocious kid with the added gift of the written little talk.

One of my favorite pass times is reading. Some of my favorite authors include Joan lowery Nixon, Andrew Clements, V C Andrews, Darren Shan, J K Rowling, R L stine, Augustan boroughs, Lois Duncan, and Lois lowery.

For many months now I have been hearing so much about amazon’s new reader the animate. The reason I have been hearing about it is because all my sighted friends have got their pants all in a knot over this little toy. Well, I'm here to tell you why, from a blind person’s point of panorama, the kindle didn't make me want to jump up and down with a smile on my face after using it.

The physical aspect of the inflame.

This is what had my mouth open and my eyes bugging out. The thing is thin; in fact it's a heck of a lot thinner than a standard print paperback. The factor is small also, about 10 inches to be precise. The screen is small as well which set off a warning flag on my head. At the top of the kindle is the power button, and on the just is the volume control kind of like one you might find on a cell phone. On the top is a headset jack that can be used to play music and audible audio books. The inflame as a previous page and next page buttons on the side, and what I call a little wheel that can go in 4 different directions and be pushed in like a button. The back feels uniform, and I just really have to applaud them for a minute or two for the fact that they hid an SD card slot in the battery compartment. Genius! I totally applaud them for hiding something that quite a bit of people might want to use! I guess they couldn't put it on top like others do now days. Also, the price, my mistress told me, was about $400. He didn't even remember the price. Oh well. I looked online and the lowest I came across is $359.00 not counting eBay. On the bottom is a micro USB place so you can charge your kindle in either the wall or the computer. My friend lent me the kindle so I didn't even get a chance to look, glower, and contempt at the plain case it came in. oh well…

Every month, the group discusses two titles, though members’ appetites for audio books is such they will have “pore over” many more. As soon as they finish a book and return it, the RNIB automatically sends another one.

The last two books the group discussed were Bernard Cornwell’s documented novel, Gallows Thief, and My Forbidden Face, the true story of Latifa, a 16-year-old Afghan filly living under the rule of the Taleban.
