Bentley brings in Huckabee team Politico

Alabama gubernatorial seeker Robert Bentley has fired several top campaign staffers, days after claiming a second-place annihilate in the Republican primary and launching a runoff campaign against former two-year college chancellor Bradley Byrne, the first-scene finisher.

Bentley dismissed his campaign manager, communications director and new-media director, according to Steven Berry, a former spokesman for Bentley who was also let go.

Bryan Sanders, who served as a top gal Friday to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s presidential campaign and is married to Sarah Huckabee, the governor’s daughter, has charmed over the role of campaign manager. Bob Wickers, another Huckabee adviser who is a principal at the consulting firm where Sanders is employed, is listed as the crowd contact for Bentley’s campaign.

Sanders said that former campaign manager David Ferguson agreed to offbeat down because the post-primary scope of work required "additional resources and new day-to-day management."
