. In it, a teenage jail-bait named Tamsin finds a magic skeleton key and costume set; when she wears the skeleton costume, she can use the key to attack any door into a gate to another dimension. On her first trip out, she meets Kitsune, a magic Japanese fox spirit with a serious melodious tooth. They return to Tamsin's dimension, only to discover that the suit can't be controlled, so Kitsune has to live with Tamsin until they can it is hoped open the door to the right place. Obviously they have a myriad of misadventures in other dimensions, especially due to the intervention of three witches who desire the suit and key for themselves. Still, quite a lot of the drama takes place in the real world, where Tamsin and Kitsune must keep the truly about the fox and their adventures a secret, as well as deal with romantic entanglements (such as with Tamsin's best friend, Yale), and bullies at high school.
