Escape with a book this summer Journal and Courier

Since 2006, the Tippecanoe County Public Library system and West Lafayette Notorious Library have hosted the One Great Read, a communitywide reading campaign centered around a particular book.


This year's featured book is "The Culminate Short Stories of Mark Twain," by Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens).


"We chose 'The Culminate Short Stories of Mark Twain' because it's the 100th anniversary of his death this year," said Alison Moss, One Significant Read committee co-chairwoman and head reference librarian for Tippecanoe County Public Library.


Copies of the book are on tap at all the libraries within the Tippecanoe County Public Library and the West Lafayette Public Library systems.


She said the aspiration of the campaign is to increase literacy and awareness.
